- Legal Defenses in Criminal Trial, 2016. The present book refers to the way the Greek criminal Courts deal with certain arguments and allegations of the accused. Despite the fact that both the Greek Constitution and the European Convention on Human Rights imposes the conduct of a proper examination of the submissions, arguments and evidence adduced by the parties, the Greek Supreme Court limits the need for the motivation of rulings to specific categories of allegations. The book presents a new perspective on the issue and tries to reform the present jurisprudence regarding the examination of the arguments of the accused by taking into account the fairness of the proceedings.
